The Halftime Institute is a powerful, deep dive into how God wired you... your skills, passions, dreams, and calling. Those I coach who attend the Institute with Bob Buford and a small number of peers get accelerated traction toward understanding God's purpose for their second half.

What is it?

The Halftime Institute is a small-group event designed for high-capacity individuals. This 27 hour experience in Dallas is designed for no more than 10 people who share two defining characteristics: they have been very successful in the first half of their lives and now share a deep desire to pursue eternal significance in their second half. The highly interactive format features the personal insights of our founder Bob Buford and the input of peers over two very intense days. By the end of the process, participants create their own powerful second-half life plan.

How will it help me?

You may have already launched your personal Halftime journey. But if you’re like most who start down this road, you have questions. What does a fulfilling Halftime look like? Can God really use my skills and talents? Am I ready to act on what I've learned? What are the implications for my family? Is my spouse on board? Are there others like me who desire to embrace significance?

The Halftime Institute utilizes a proprietary, results-oriented, collaborative process that combines teaching by Halftime Executives, collaboration with Bob Buford, group interaction, personal reflection and planning. Most alumni consider The Halftime Institute a pivotal event that inspired and equipped them to address the core issues surrounding the second half of life.

At the Halftime Institute, you will:

• Clarify your core abilities and passions.
• Create a workable plan for investing your time and talent in your area of passion.
• Design the ultimate context for your personal service.
• Network with peers who will provide accountability and encouragement during your journey.

After the Halftime Institute, you will:

• Participate in 12 months of personalized service from a certified Halftime Coach

Many people we serve tell us that 1:1 coaching is the most valuable service we offer. A certified Halftime Coach will facilitate your journey from success to significance by helping you through the 4 stages of Halftime.

The Halftime 1:1 Coaching Process is a year-long partnership with your Halftime Coach who has been specially trained to help guide you. You will meet in-person or by phone monthly to stay on track and ensure your Life II plan is fully implemented. We can match the pace and duration to your specific needs and style (for example, you may prefer a couple of preliminary meetings, followed by several months on your own to strategize and explore opportunities, and then a second set of meetings to evaluate and refine your plan.)

While most coaching occurs over the phone, your Coach will document all conclusions and action steps in writing.

Previously, working with a Halftime Coach was optional for those who attended the Halftime Institute. But because those who receive our coaching go on to begin their second half more determined, satisfied, and prepared (often producing better results), we have combined these 2 services. Coaching continues to be a service we offer individually for those who do not attend the Halftime Institute.
